I went to a violinist’s recital in one of the London City churches, the first since lockdowns began in March. There we all were – spaced out with masks, the new normal – hearing sublime music live. Shortly afterward it all ceased again as we sank into a dark, isolated winter.“

Richard Bram (b. Philadelphia, USA, 1952) has been photographing professionally since 1984. Known worldwide as a street photographer, he works in many other genres as well. From 2008 to 2016 he lived and worked in New York City, switching his personal work from monochrome to color in 2010. There he produced his first major book, “RICHARD BRAM: NEW YORK” with Peanut Press. In late 2016 he returned to London and began a new project documenting the air, water and light of the Thames in Limehouse Reach.
